Is the house haunted?
The Duff Green Mansion served as a hospital during the Civil War, and two of the Green children passed away in the home. Over the years, some guests have reported unexplained activity, but nothing frightening. If there are spirits here, they seem to be very fond of us.

1856.
What time is check-in?
Our Concierge is onsite from 3:00–6:00 PM to personally welcome you and escort you to your room. If you arrive earlier and your room is ready, our housekeeping team will be happy to assist you.
Is check-in available after 6:00 PM?
Yes. If arriving after 6:00 PM, your key will be placed in one of the mailboxes located under the front steps. We will text you the access code prior to arrival. If you have any trouble, please call us at 601-636-6968.
What is the Wi-Fi password?

May I cancel if my plans change?
Yes. You may cancel up to 3 days prior to check-in.
When will I be charged?
Your card will be charged once the 3-day cancellation window has closed.
What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is served at 8:30 AM.
What time is the tour?
The house tour takes place after breakfast.
Is there a welcome reception?
Yes. Guests are invited to gather at 5:00 PM for a complimentary glass of wine, dinner recommendations, and an opportunity to meet fellow guests.
What if my TV isn’t working?
The interior walls of the mansion are solid brick, so streaming services are not available. We use cable service through Vicksburg Video, which requires a cable box.
If your TV isn’t working, the most common issues are:

The cable box is not turned on.

The system isn’t on the right channel to get to cable.
Instructions from the technician:

Locate the remote.

Press the top left button labeled “System” (do not use the Power button).

This will turn on both the TV and cable box.

If needed, press the bottom left button to select HDMI 1 (this is the cable input).

If you see an error message “3.5” in the upper right corner, the cable box is not on.
- Hopefully you will now need only the up and down buttons for volume and channel.

What time does the pool close?
The pool closes when noise begins to disturb other guests. We simply ask that you be respectful of those around you.
What food is available?
We serve breakfast daily.
For your convenience:

There are decanters of ice water on each floor.

Ice machines are located in the courtyard (first floor) and on the third-floor kitchen.

An ice chest is available outside the office.

Additional water is available near the main floor rear entrance.

Keurig coffee stations are located outside the Little Annie Room (first floor), in the Hideaway kitchen, and in the third-floor kitchen.
Is laundry service available?
Laundry service is not available. A washer and dryer are provided exclusively for guests staying in the Duff Green Suite.
